MEET THE TEAM

Chris Byrne

Chris is an accomplished and award winning landscape and nature photographer who developed a love of the cypress swamps of the south while growing up in the Florida panhandle. The similarities and yet striking diversity of these wetlands throughout the southern states is what keeps him coming back to explore and create images.

Giving up the corporate life to follow his passion in 2015, Chris now leads photography excursions all over the world and spends nearly 180 days a year in the field teaching photography students and creating images for his Fine Art Photography business. Taking great pride in being able to help others on their photography journey and hopefully inspiring some along the way. Some of his favorite places and subjects to photograph are the river deltas in Iceland, wildlife in Kenya, mountains of Glacier National Park, and of course the charm of the southern bayous.

“Photography allows me to dream in the moment. Of all the places that I’ve been with my camera, nothing compares to the tranquility and stillness of the swamps”

Nicole Pino

Born and raised in Utah, Nicole adopted an outdoor lifestyle and love of photography at a very early age. Exploring the many natural wonders of her home state fueled her passion for photography, prompting her to take things to the next level. She soon found herself happily immersed in the industry, leading photo workshops in the Southwest and beyond.

Having an adventurous spirit, and incurable wanderlust, Nicole spends most of her free time traveling, exploring and capturing the beauty around her. She is also a licensed boat captain and never passes up to a chance to get out on the water.

Nicole loves sharing her passion for photography with others and is most at home in the field helping clients improve their skills as well as gain confidence in themselves and their photographic vision. In addition to being an accomplished guide and instructor, Nicole is familiar with the technical aspects of photography as well as various camera systems and gear.

Lyle Krannichfeld

The most incredible moments in Lyle's life have revolved around beauty and a connection to this amazing world we live in and the wildlife we share it with.

He has been high above a sudden, heavy snowstorm rolling into Yosemite valley in the spring. He has been alone with Humpback Whales in warm, crystal clear water. He has watched the full moon rise over the Space Needle and downtown Seattle on a brisk fall evening. He has had the open jaws of a Great White Shark inches from his face. He finds joy in taking these beautiful moments and distilling them down into simple, compelling images.

As the owner of Pueo Gallery, Lyle is incredibly excited to be able to share these experiences and how he sees the world in his very own space. To be able to live on Maui with his family next to him supporting this wild life is a dream come true. With over a million dollars of art sold to collectors in half a dozen or more countries, Lyle is also proud to have his photography hanging in numerous resorts and condos around Maui

Some of Lyle’s favorite moments in the field were shared by leading small group wildlife tours to swim with the Humpback Whales in Tonga and the Great White Sharks in Mexico. With an emphasis on providing life changing wildlife encounters, he focused on teaching photography and post processing in equal measure to responsible stewardship of our oceans, respectful wildlife interactions and conservation. Capturing unique, impactful images does not have to be (and absolutely should not be) done at the expense of the wildlife or our oceans. You can find Lyle in his Pueo Gallery on Maui most days unless he is traveling for photography. Stop by and say hi!
